Crowd Out Instead Of Cut Out
The first step when formulating a long-term weight loss plan is to crowd out instead of cut out. This means instead of making a list of things not to eat, make a list of things that you must eat daily. After eating and drinking all of the healthy foods on your list, such as fruits, vegetables, seafood, poultry etc, you won’t have space for unhealthy stuff, such as junk food, chocolates, sweets etc. However, remember your body requires a certain amount of foods that are not deemed to be that healthy, such as sweets and chocolates, so it is good to consume a small quantity of these foods as well on weekends.

It is a famous saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, but did you ever wonder how? Apple is rich a rich source of healthy fiber called pectin, which slows down the digestion process, keeping you feeling fuller for longer. This helps reduce your calorie intake, thus melting down the extra pounds that you may have put on because of bad eating or living habits. So if you want to lose weight and keep it off, it is recommended you eat an apple daily.

Pre-loading is also suggested to those who are slightly overweight and want to get rid of those few extra pounds. Pre-loading is a technique where you drink water before a meal to fill up your stomach, so that you get full faster and don’t each much. A scientific study concluded that people who drank two cups of water before a meal lost 5 pounds more fat than those who did not drink water before eating.

But since adult humans do not need these calories and growth hormones, they should avoid consuming dairy milk. To compensate for the nutrients that you miss by avoiding dairy milk, it is recommended to switch to non-dairy alternatives such as soy, rice or almond milk.
